A.  The Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills, known as the TAKS, is a yearly testing program that measures students' mastery of the state curriculum.

Q. HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW FOR TAKS?
A. For additional details about the state TEKS curriculum, visit http://www.tea.state.tx.us/teks/index.html

Q. DOES TAKS AFFECT PROMOTION STANDARDS?
